Walks around Rockhaye

The red arrows illustrate one of the many walking routes that surround Rockhaye Cottage curtesy of local land owners under the Countryside Stewardship Scheme & the Woodland Trust. The longest route of about 6.5 kilometres follows a 'figure of eight' with Rockhaye Cottage at its central point. It consists of a bridal way, undulating grassland, foot paths, woodland and a very small section of little used tarmac lane. This scenic route offers a good view of Witheridge and skirts around a beautiful small lake and along two separate stretches of the Little Dart River before going up via a stretch of the Two Moors Way long distance footpath into the outskirts of Witheridge and returning back down to Rockhaye Cottage.
