Offering Peace and Comfort In the Devon Countryside
"Needfresh air with peace and quiet?"
"Need to get away from it all?"
As well as fly fishing on the Little Dart River in front of Rockhaye B&B there is also the opportunity to coarse fish in a lake that is within a pleasant 1 kilometre walk across the fields or a 1.5 kilometre drive (See Map below).
It is a lovely mature lake, extending to one and half acres. There is a fine stock of carp, many of which have weights well into double figures, as well as some Tench, Roach, Rudd and eels.
The lake with a small island approached by a wooden walkway is in a beautiful, unspoilt and tranquil place, surrounded by green fields and trees with no roads or houses within sight or sound...... Devon at its best!
Families are welcome to enjoy a picnic if they wish. There is a bridleway and various footpaths for non fishing family members who would just like to enjoy relaxing and walking in the countryside.
There is a toilet with hand washing facilities near the lake with a hard standing area close by for parking your car.
Red arrows indicate a 1 kilometre walking route from Rockhaye B&B to coarse fishing lake, with blue arrows indicating a 1.5 kilometre driving route to dedicated free parking.
Cost per person for up to three rods: £8 per day. Fishing visits strictly by arrangement.
To ensure conservation and to retain the unique tranquility of this beautiful spot there are a number of fishing rules that you need to abide by which can be obtained by downloading in pdf format at www.dartraffe.co.uk
