Coarse Fishing
As well as fly fishing on the Little Dart River in front of Rockhaye B&B there is also the opportunity to coarse fish in a lake that is within a pleasant 1 kilometre walk across the fields or a 1.5 kilometre drive (See Map below).
It is a lovely mature lake, extending to one and half acres. There is a fine stock of carp, many of which have weights well into double figures, as well as some Tench, Roach, Rudd and eels.
The lake with a small island approached by a wooden walkway is in a beautiful, unspoilt and tranquil place, surrounded by green fields and trees with no roads or houses within sight or sound...... Devon at its best!
Families are welcome to enjoy a picnic if they wish. There is a bridleway and various footpaths for non fishing family members who would just like to enjoy relaxing and walking in the countryside.
There is a toilet with hand washing facilities near the lake with a hard standing area close by for parking your car.
