Whether you are a walker, fisherman, rider, or just a 'long weekender' we can fulfill all of the above needs in abundance, after you receive a very warm welcome to our old thatched cottage in front of the Little Dart River in the heart of the Devon countryside.
Our chicken’s roam where they like as you will feel the urge to do when you stay at Rockhaye.
Your large double bedded, ground floor easy access bedroom, offers cosy comfort with hot water bottles if you would like them! The ensuite bathroom has a heated towel rail, toiletries & hair dryer. For our walkers, fishermen and horse riders there is also a boot drying machine. A separate door from the bedroom offers direct access to our garden and use of a hammock in the summer, as well as giving you peace of mind with regard to a very quick escape in case of an emergency.
The view in spring from your bedroom window with bird feeders and daffodils swaying gently in the breeze, blossom blowing from fruit trees and chickens foraging is a time warp from a bygone era.
Your own personal sitting room which adjoins your bedroom has an old inglenook fireplace and bread oven with a log fire in the winter, as well as a 26” flat screen colour television with SKY. It also has various games including chess, draughts, back gammon, cards & Scrabble along with the latest edition of Devon Life.
In your bedroom are different types of tea, coffee, with fresh milk in a small cooling thermos flask along with home made biscuits complimentary bottled water and fruit as all part of our service.
Our flora & fauna is a delight to all nature lovers with wild flowers in abundance during late summer.
